Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 15, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how Augmenos (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards information in connection with our website (augmenos.com) and our mobile and spatial computing applications (collectively, the “Services”).

We operate from the Netherlands and are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all current and future applications developed and published by Augmenos, including but not limited to:

  • Astronoma

  • Cyberstocks

  • Mexico Vision

  • Museas

The principles outlined here will also apply to any additional applications released under the Augmenos brand, unless otherwise stated.

2. Data Collection and Processing

We design our applications to operate with minimal or no collection of personal data.

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, contact details, or other personally identifying information.

  • We do not store biometric data, facial recognition data, or environmental scans.

  • Where device sensors or APIs (e.g., ARKit, RealityKit, TrueDepth API) are used, all processing is performed locally on the device in real time and is not transmitted or stored.

  • Most applications operate entirely offline. In cases where internet connectivity is required (e.g., to retrieve third-party data), no personal information is sent to us.

3. Website and Analytics Data

Our website is hosted on Squarespace and may use Google Analytics to collect anonymized, aggregated information about site usage (e.g., pages visited, time spent).

  • This information is used solely for service improvement and statistical analysis.

  • We do not combine this data with other information to identify individuals.

4. Third-Party Services

Certain Services may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, or content delivery, including:

  • Apple Inc. – App distribution, anonymized performance analytics.

  • Google Analytics – Website traffic reporting.

These providers process data in accordance with their own privacy policies, and we do not share personal data with them.

5. Legal Basis under GDPR

Where any processing of personal data occurs, it will be based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

  • Your consent;

  • Performance of a contract;

  • Compliance with a legal obligation;

  • Our legitimate interests, provided such interests are not overridden by your rights.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we may hold about you;

  • Request correction or deletion of your data;

  • Restrict or object to certain processing;

  • Request data portability.

To exercise these rights, contact contact@augmenos.com. As we generally do not process personal data, these rights may not be applicable in most cases.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any data under our control. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. International Data Transfers

If data is processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with GDPR requirements.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
